Vision

  • To be recognised as a competitive, inclusive and sustainable club that supports the sporting, career and lifestyle choices of its members and is well respected as a contributing member of the broader community.

  • To use sport as an enabler for inclusion and community building.

Background

  • Royals was established in 1949 – 70 years ago.
  • Royals Juniors teams started playing in 1961
  • The Royals Womens team started playing in 1992
  • Royals field Rugby teams in all 7 senior divisions and 15 junior age groups

Aims

  • To foster Rugby in Woden Valley, Weston Creek and Molonglo Valley

  • To play Rugby in a safe and inclusive environment that caters for all

  • To treat all people equally

  • To be an inclusive club where everyone (players, supporters, officials and sponsors) is welcome and valued

  • To be a club where everyone (players, supporters, officials and sponsors) is encouraged and supported to be ‘the best they can be’

Goals

  • To be sustainable

  • Build long term strategic sponsorships

  • Support juniors development

  • Build a clubhouse that can be used to generate income 

  • To be a positive influence in the community at large

  • Support mental health

  • Active engagement with RUOK

  • Support community issues

  • ‘Say no to Domestic Violence’ (Royals recently released a video campaign against domestic violence)

  • Illegal Drugs and Alcohol Abuse

  • Increase our community engagement
